About The Companies

TransCanada

With approximately $45 billion in assets, TransCanada is a leader in the responsible development and reliable operation of North American energy infrastructure including natural gas and oil pipelines, power generation and natural gas storage facilities.

The company operates North America’s largest natural gas pipeline network - 59,000 kilometres (36,500 miles) - tapping into virtually every major gas supply basin.

TransCanada is North America’s second-largest natural gas storage operator - 370 billion cubic feet of capacity - enough to meet the needs of nearly four million homes each year.

Canada’s largest private power generator, TransCanada owns or has interests in 20 power plants in Canada and the U.S. producing 11,800 megawatts of power - enough capacity to power nearly 12 million homes.

TransCanada plays a vital role in connecting energy supplies to key Canadian and U.S. markets. The company is in the midst of a $22 billion capital plan - growing its pipeline and energy businesses and expanding into new areas of opportunity such as building one of North America’s largest oil delivery systems - the Keystone pipeline - to meet long-term North American demand.
