Community Investment Grant Application
The Alaska Pipeline Project’s Community Investment program provides project funding to external non-profit and governmental organizations and business and trade associations in communities in Alaska and Canada where we live, work and conduct our business.
In selecting grants for funding, we look for community investment opportunities that maximize synergies between meeting important community needs and advancing APP’s business, stakeholder engagement, and government and community relations objectives.
The APP Community Investment program is integrated with the project’s broader Socioeconomic Management objectives, including being supportive of the following principles:
- Impact Assessment and Mitigation: The project recognizes its activities have potential economic and social impacts on communities and other stakeholders, and it strives to avoid and mitigate negative impacts and enhance positive impacts.
- Community Relations: The Alaska Pipeline Project proactively consults with stakeholders and acts with respect toward individuals of all cultures, engages in dialogue, and collaborates with local communities.
- Cultural Heritage and Diversity: The project seeks to develop and implement focused community engagement activities respecting indigenous peoples' traditions and cultures.
- Economic Development: The Alaska Pipeline Project seeks to have a positive economic impact on the communities in which it operates. The project is committed to building capacity wherever it operates by making strategic community investments.
